Welcome Back RHE Eagles!

This summer is flying by and in just a few short weeks we are going to be together again. I can’t wait! I have had a fun summer with some great travel and projects, but I always find myself ready to be back with my team and our kids by about mid-July!  I love our RHE community and miss you when we are apart! 

We have so many fun activities planned for this year with our awesome PTO!  We also have some new teachers joining us this year.  Help us welcome them!
 

Kindergarten/First Grade

• Currently we still have three teachers in kindergarten and first grade, but we may add a fourth to one of these grade levels here in a few weeks.  We will know shortly with our summer enrollment how this plays out.  We will keep you posted!  One change of note is that Emma Mumford moved down from second grade to first grade. 

Third Grade

• This year we will only have three teachers in third grade: Patti Seeholzer, Cory Call and Amy Hadfield.

Fourth Grade

• We are adding a fourth teacher to fourth grade this year.  Her name is Lisa Christensen.  Lisa is a fantastic teacher in the CCSD that comes to us with many years of fourth and fifth grade experience as well as a deep understanding of literacy! Additionally, Katelyn Childers and Heidi Carlston are going to do a shared contract this year.

Fifth Grade

• Our fifth grade team remains the same with Jayson Curtis, Tessenie Humphreys and Kristen Johnson

Sixth Grade

• We had a change of teachers this summer in sixth grade. Theresa Stanton will be taking Brooke Geary’s place in the language arts block of the rotation.  Theresa comes to River Heights with many years of experience teaching sixth grade, SpEd and literacy.

Special Education

• We have no changes in our Special Education Department

Specials and Support

• Megan Hansen, our computer teacher, will be completing her student teaching this fall so she will have a partner teacher that will teach computers until Christmas Break and then she will be back with us for the remainder of the year.

We look forward to seeing you all at Back to School Night on Monday, August 18th, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and then bright and early on Wednesday, August 20th for the first day of school for students 1st-6th!  Kindergarten will start on Monday, August 25th.
